Full Version: Rain tutorial

I will show yoy how to create a Rain efect for you avatars of sigs to have something like this:

Programs required:
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Imageready

1) First create your sig as usual, I made one of the pretty Souseiseki from the Anime Rozen Maiden emo-emo-wub.gif

2) Create a new layer and with any brush fill it with color black

3) Go Filter/ Noise/ Add noise
Amount= 40.12

4) Then go Filter/ Blur/Motion Blur and adjust in wich direction you wish the rain fall

5) Reduce the opacity of the layer to 40% or 50% (Depending on how much you want to get the rain noticed)

6) Once you have it, hide the layer and repeat from step 2 to 5 as many times you want, with 2 you shall do it but if you want to add a better efect you must add more, for this one I created 5

7) Once you have ready the frames, click "Go to imageready"

8) Here in the animation bar, create one frame with a duration of 0,1 second per each rain frame you create, for example, I create 5 rain frames so I added 5 frames in the animation bar, in the first frame of the animation bar, reveal the first rain frame, then in the next frame of the animated bar, reveal the next rain frame and hide the previus, that way until you have them all

9) This is optional, if you want you may add text and a border over all the rain frames at the end

10) File/ Save Optimized or Save Optimized as...

And voula! You have you rain efect!
