I've started to get into vectoring recently and after looking around found out that a Vector created in PhotoShop is not really a Vector (it's got another name that I forgot) because it's a Raster program not a Vector.

So you need either Illustrator, Flash, Corel etc. To create a vector. So I figured if I'm gonna learn to do vector I may as well learn the right way to do it.

So anyone else familiar with this program? I've had a play with it and it's very similar to Macromedia Fireworks IMO. Doesn't look much different from PS though really and if your familiar with PS it seems pretty easy to grasp.

Also if anyone has any good tuts for Illustrator they would like to recommend I would appreciate it.

Yeah I heard too that a vector in PS isnt a vector because its rasterized and after a certain size it starts to loose quality.

yeah that's true. even the eps files seem to degrade. the amazing detail u can get w/ illustrator is just spectacular. if u look at that site i pasted and go to their gallery it will blow you away. i has a wacom tablet and i want me some illustrator.

what kind of tablet do you have pee? I was thinking about buying one. I know you said wamcom but do you have bamboo or intuos?

Nah ain't made nothing yet...Been too busy, I'll probably properly start using it in the summer when I have more time...

bamboo imho. not top of the line by any means but suitable.
