Well, I'm starting to get bored of the annoying solid borders done by stroking. I'm looking for ways to make the dashed borders, and any other kind of nifty border. I just can't find any T_T

Hmm...well you could alter the the size and layer settings of your borders. Throwing a filter over them might also be interesting, or pentooling a border.. You might also make an interesting border (and I think that Ness has done this so credit to her)

By making a new layer, going to "image", then "apply image" so that everything is combined into...one layer. >__>! You think duplicate that layer, and you shrink the copy just a bit.

<- Not EXACTLY like this, just a rough idea.

Hmmm...a dashed border eh? You could try this...just when you make your border,make sure your border is on a separate layer and then create a new layer and then with a scan line brush,just brush once on that new layer about in the center i suppose,and then make a clipping mask with that and your border layer and thar ya go. ^^ oh and make sure the scan line brush isn't the same color as your border of course. xD

EDIT:Here is an example of what i just explained

Minus the sides Border

Seperate Layer, Erase sides with pencil brush.

Minus the Top Border

Same as Sides Border.. Just erase the sides instead of the top.

Double Line Border

-Stroke 3px(Purple), 2px(Lime), and 1px(Purple) all seperate layers
-Take your Magic Wand, and highlight the 2px border make shure the 3px border is highlighted and hit Delete.

Change the Signature rectangle form.




Just showing you the different types of borders that I've seen/come up with..

Try em.. every signature looks different with a different border.. but borders and text were so last year.

ah ok, scan lines can be used in a variety of ways, you can use the scanlines in a clone stamp or a custom shape. you're using PSP, GIMP, or PS kind person?

tell me which and im sure one of us can tell you how to use your scan lines and supply you with the tools you need

Just go there and DL the brushes,I usually use the diagonal scanline brushes for the borders,but i suppose you could use anyone of em,so you could try that out.

press control A then print screen and make a new file about the same size then paste.
