Large works was where I started. Thought I'd post a few here.

Couple of basic and pretty rubbish Doctor Who ones. (Though my sole tool for these ones was Microsoft Picture It! huh.gif ohmy.gif ) : -

I think this bleach one was done with GimpShop but I'm not sure:-

A cover I did for an e-book but I can't remember what program I used. Might even have been Paint Shop Pro ohmy.gif

I have more but I don't have access to the others at the moment.
The Sex!
you need to work on rendering.. some of your renders have parts missing others have a white outline..

Sorry I meant to mention this. The newest of those is the bleach one. And that's a year old now I think.

The DVD cover was probably the one I was happiest with out of that lot though.

I worked out how to use the path tool after doing that bleach one though, i was still struggling with the magnetic lasso as I recall at that point. unsure.gif

Thanks though . smile.gif

As to the doctor who ones well the latest of those was 2005. In microsoft picture it. A program that really wasn't designed for doing stuff like that.

Found some more stuff... (though I think the Doctor Who stuff is no newer than February 06. Whenever it was that my Acer laptop broke and I stopped using Photoshop. unsure.gif ):-

This was the very first dvd cover I did in Photoshop (first thing I did that wasn't for Graphic Design GCSE or A-Level I think):- user posted image[/spoil]

It's been ages since I did a wallpaper though so i think now I have some more ideas from doing sigs I'll give another shot at it. For starters I understand some of the filters a bit better now. smile.gif
CMC 42
Thanks for the help here and in the sig section though, I'm not going to post any more of my stuff till I've had a bit more of an experiment with the filters and other tools in both pixelmator and Gimp. smile.gif Might try one of the weekly challenge things if there's a topic I feel I can do something for smile.gif

Thanks again and hopefully the next thing I post will be a lot better than these.

(Then again these are at least two years old if not more lol).

the dvd covers you did with photoshop arent too bad at all. and im sure you can render better now. my renders from two years ago were most likely me using the eraser emo-emo-amon.gif

I remember at one point a program I was using (might have been an old version of paint shop pro) only had a freehand lasso tool for cutting things out. Urgh that's hard to control and I was using a laptop at the time as I recall. Funnily enough I never could cut out anything properly with that. laugh.gif

Oh that reminds me is it worth getting a tablet? I have a very small one (less than A6 size) but Maplin currently have an offer on a tablet that is compatible with macs.

I have been using Fujitsu tablets for 3 years now, love them.

Well that shows how out of touch I am with that section of computing... I didn't know Fujitsu made tablets. The people I know who use tablets tend to go for WACOM.

I do have a graphics tablet already but it's very small. It's one of these: - http://schwarztech.us/contentimages/review...lly/icecad1.jpg

Lol doctor who.

I'm guessing you like BCC.

Nice dvd covers, your rendering is decent to say the least.

It might be because it's starting to get late here but ... What on Earth is BCC? huh.gif

Whoops BBC sorry.

Ah. Erm... yes. There's very few things that I watch that aren't on BBC or one of their digital channels.

This was a wallpaper request over on BE. It's similar to the sig I did for the same person with the same renders: -
