Should this substance like be illegal?

Discuss.

As well, do you think other drugs like Marijuana should be legal?
Halibel
always been kind of apathetic where drugs are concerned. some people will do them some wont. people that do them will get them regardless of whether they are legal or whether they are not.
Jesco
I have been using the internet and forums for years now and so have got fed up of seriously typing out my opinion on things.

In short I believe that all drugs should be legal as it is an infringement of human rights to deny people the choice of what they consume.

Much like I believe that suicide should also be legal. Who are the powers that be to tell people whether or not they are allowed to die?

This is a rather large can of worms you are prying open though.

Whatever you do don't start a religion discussion thread. Thats just asking for trouble, heh.

You know what's funny about this? I wasn't even aware of salvia divinorum until this article. Now I'm gonna buy some. I am so unbelievably stoked.

At any rate prohibitionism is led by a bunch of old sexually-frustrated douchebags with no other purpose in life than to see everyone else as pathetic and sad as themselves. First its drugs, then its alcohol, next they'll try to legally restrict sexual activity. Fuck them and the sand stuck in their collective vagoo.

The thing is Salvia is harmless to you. Making it illegal will just make people want it more.

There was one report of a kid that killed himself by shoving himself into a oven.
Jesco
You might wanna edit that post, heh.

I know what you mean though. Making it illegal and putting publicity onto it is only gonna make kids want to do it more.

I saw that video. That was childish.. emo--__-.png
These people don't know what they're doing. It's like doing stupid things when you're young and when consequences get severe you can only look back and regret when you're old. emo-hm.png

Hm. on a side note, this is good poetry fodder.
Raoul Duke
What consequences? The only thing that was childish there was making a video of getting high (no doubt so they could act like they were badasses).

I can guarantee with absolute certainty that I will not regret getting high on a regular basis. I would, however, deeply regret making a vid that full of faggotry.
momok
The side effects of the drug are still unknown isn't it? That's dangerous imho.
Raoul Duke
I don't know what the side effects of tomorrow are either. The world is dangerous. We don't need nannies telling us to take care of ourselves. Its my right to gain 800 pounds, shoot heroine straight into the tip of my erect penis, and partake in rather unsound sexual practices. I really don't wanna do any of those things (except mebe the surx emo-kruemelmonsteryn0.gif) but if I wanted to no one is going to tell me no.
K12
Salvia is harmless to your body.

They wouldn't sell a legal drug if the side effects were unknown.

As for the childish comment, I don't really think he could of helped it. I mean he was high as a kite after all.
momok
Hehe I can see where you are coming from.
I think it really boils down to the perspective of the individual; I believe our actions do not have immediate consequences not only on ourselves but the world around us. The greater the understanding of our relation to our environment, the greater the responsibility of our actions. =)

But surely the greater your understanding the greater your realisation of your insignificance. If you are insignificant your actions potentially have no effects on your environment.

my friend actually has a video of this kid takin Salvia for the first time....like 30 seconds after hitting it he starts flippin out haha...

Ive never tried it personally...but i hear its pretty crazy

To each his own...i generally dont try to tell people what they can/cant do w/ their bodies....

As far as it being legal or w/e...if they make it illegal its just going to become more appealing to people...so their damned if they do damned if they dont...Theres a long story/conspiracy behind the whole "illegality" of Marijuana but dont really wanna go into that one haha
