Hi..

I submitted a sig for my BE Division's sig making contest today. Hope to get some input from you guys (I won't cheat and amend my entry after recieving feedback hehe)

I tried spending alot more time and effort on the typography this time... but I'm afraid this is currently the best I could come up with.

Ah. lets see. TBH, I saw this on BE a few minutes ago I think and I r liking it. I can tell you spent some time on the text and it shows. Is it supposed to be like a banner for the division? oh, at the top where the border is i dont really like that, your lighting source is messing it up. but you could just change teh blending mode i suppose could use some depth too. use the sharpen and blur tool to help with that. otherwise id say its pretty good, thought you said you were new to this? ^ ^;;

craver might put you on his hitlist if you keep this up. it's getting quite long

Mm.. I still don't understand what you guys mean by depth
PS. what's a hit list?

depth and focal are hard to understand sometimes, which means they're also difficult to explain. But I think I can find something that makes it quite easy to understand.

Controlling Depth of Field

Imagine you're looking at a picture of a girl or something and you see her clearly, but the background is a little blurry. That's depth, emphasis on your focal (the girl) and putting less emphasis on the background. The pictures in that link I pasted make it a little easier to understand. The article also has some helpful hints for mastering depth of field, however, I normally just use the blur and sharpen tool b/c I don't like to blur the entire background. Only some parts.

P.S. Anyone that has a talent at GFX goes on cravers hitlist. Which means he wants to take us down
