Just some random poems written by me.
Will add more over time if anyone likes them..

Ghosts of Lost Love - written for my gf
[spoil]Ghosts walk the busy streets
Whilst I stop by the sidewalk and look around me
Ghosts talk amongst themselves
Whilst I stand silent in the shadows of the crowd
Ghosts surround me everywhere
Whilst I lie awake to the sounds of the night

Ghosts always appear before me
Whenever I stop to reminisce our lost love[/spoil]
Idle - out of boredom
[spoil]Idle.
Sitting alone in my study room;
Shut off from the rest of the world.

The screen lights my face in a dark hour
Screw work!
Who cares about school?
Lessons tomorrow in the morning?
Ha!
Nothing much to pay attention to anyway.

I’ll waste my time surfing forums online
And playing around with Photoshop.
Not constructive?
I’m learning here!
Improving my design skills!
I’m not doing nothing you know!

Shut off from the rest of the world.
Sitting alone in my study room;
Idle.[/spoil]
The mysterious momok - about my username "momok"
[spoil]The fuzzy black fur
That grows in abundance on its spherical body
Hides it in the darkness
From which its two big eyes –
*Blink* *blink*

The four quick legs
That grow on the underside of its round body
Aids its scurrying movement
As it niftily runs around –
*ting-a-ling-a-ling*

Its mouth is so tiny! You can hardly see it!
That silly little smile is forever plastered on its face.
A size fitting for a small creature as such
Reticent with its limited command of the language –
“Is you cannot see the momok!”

In a quick black flurry it disappears and hides away into the darkness,
Leaving a tiny giggle, concluding the finale of its brief surprising performance.[/spoil]

ok truly not what i was expecting, but unique and quite good imo. I really liked the second one and the last one. It's easy to get lost in this screen especially when photoshop is open and often people don't realize what you're doing has substance, at least to some smile.gif and the last one is just cute. i loved it smile.gif great work.

The first one is well written as well btw, but i usually don't delve into the depths of love and longing so it's hard for me to identify with the words, but its written nicely all the same.

Thank you for your kind comments.. I agree. Often times the meaning and effort of art of any kind gets lost online as the sheer amount of work done by artistes proliferates on forums and other sites. Glad to have found appreciation at least =)

Will continue to post back here.. this is like an avenue for my creative literary output of rubbish tongue.gif

Talking to The Moon
inspired by my surprise on a night of particularly bright moon
[spoil]Oh!

The full moon shines really brightly tonight!
Startling my restless self beneath the covers
Illuminating a spot on my tired arm

How long has it been since I last admired you?
Your quiet smile answers me,
ever so forgiving towards me.

Why are you shining especially so bright tonight?
That mysterious smile of yours
hides little of your playfulness!

You’re beautiful tonight; won’t you stay for me?
Your humble smile tells me
I can sleep in peace tonight.

A moon-ray watches over my tired arm
As my heart calms gently beneath the covers
The full moon shines really brightly tonight...[/spoil] =)

Wow, Momok!~ This is definitely not what I was expecting in terms of poetry, but it's a good surprise. You have a unique style and definitely skill. The one about the Moon and the Ghost are my favorite, but the "Idle" one made me lawl. Keep it up!

You're referring to the moon or the momok? hehe..
Here's another..

Dance
Surprisingly inspired by my latest exam essay topic
[spoil]Art.
Movement. Flow. Space. Time.

Our body is our instrument;
Our limbs help paint the details

The movement of our body, our bodies;
They draw the narrative line

The line of the flow that fills the void;
The contrast against the void which matters

The interaction of our movements flow into the spaces
Gradually moulding the piece into completion

Movement. Flow. Space. Time.

Poker
one of my favourite games
[spoil]Dead serious.
That deep cold stare – not at the opponent
– But right down at the cards on the table.

That stillness of his figure
Almost forms a silhouette against the rest of the room
Even as the room behind him
Is
Still.

What is he thinking? What is he hiding? What does he have?
What does he think I have? What does he think I think he has?
Is he bluffing? Or is he trapping me?

A glance back on the look on his face,
Nothing.

The story speaks danger
It’s time to make an escape.

I’ll catch you on another day.[/spoil]

Found a cute frog on the way home. a near traumatic experience ensued....

A peculiar occurrence on an ordinary night
[spoil]As I walked home alone one night
Dragging my soles from school
I chanced upon a frog in sight
In the road-middle sitting so cool

I swiftly picked up the little one
And it sat on my palm so comfy
Can’t have you crushed by a hit-and-run
I’ll bring you aside to safety

Nearby a black cat’s stealthy pace
Prepared it to steal my find
Imagine the horror on my face
When it pounced out from behind

Our clever protagonist then jumped out of reach
It escaped, fortunately; into a nearby ditch[/spoil]
